Our Story
In 2020, we launched The Education Lounge Podcast to broaden our minds, share our understanding of the educational landscape with a wider audience, and have fun.
Our podcast began during the lockdown—a challenging period for many, but also a time of significant change.
During this time, children in the UK experienced education primarily through online video classes, and our tuition practice had to adapt similarly.
Education as a Political Football
The lockdown highlighted how ideology influences the educational system, serving as a stark reminder of how students are often at the mercy of political decisions—education is indeed a political football.
The Education Lounge serves as a battleground for ideas, fostering open discourse on all matters affecting education.
Our debates and discussions are characterised by respectful and constructive exchanges, ensuring that every voice is heard and every idea is explored.

Meet the Hosts
Jonathan and Prajay have been friends since secondary school and now run a tuition business together.
With over 10 years of experience in the education industry, they share a deep passion for teaching and learning.
Despite their shared beliefs, they often have differing opinions on various educational topics.
This dynamic of constructive conflict and respectful debate makes their collaboration stimulating and productive.
Their ability to challenge each other’s ideas and reach a consensus demonstrates that differing opinions can be a powerful catalyst for growth and improvement in education.

New Frontiers in Life and Learning
One of the reasons we started Redbridge Tuition and The Education Lounge Podcast is because we believe that education, in its current form, is insufficient for the vast majority of students.
Why Podcast?
We think that this medium is ideal for showcasing our opinions. While everyone in our team is passionate about education, we must capture the wide range of thinking that runs throughout the organisation.
Although Redbridge Tuition has many shared values, we are also individuals. We want to share the ideas of the fantastic people who work with us, the clients who use our services, as well as others who can add value.
In our podcast, we want to talk frankly on many topics. Many of these topics will centre around learning, but we do not want to limit discussion, so we are open to discussing other topics. Most of all, we want this podcast to be forward-thinking, personal, and informative. We will explore issues that are political, technological, ethical and related to the method and practice of teaching.
